Maureen’s 80th Birthday Zipwire Challenge!
Maureen is celebrating her 80th birthday with a 325 metre Zipwire challenge.
Maureen is a Mustard Seed Community Minister at St Michaels’ Bempton, where she has been developing a Warm Space and Food Pantry. This community mission is flourishing, and so the church wants to improve accessibility. Maureen is hoping to raise £1,080 towards the disabled access fund for the church.
Maureen writes:
“I saw my first zipwire in Dorset in the 1970s with Neil, my late husband, and I was determined to have a go. I did and loved it, he simply watched! Then we moved North, and we saw another one in Dalby Forest, when we both agreed, we would have a go at one of these things as a joint adventure, at some point, but sadly this was not to be. So here I am, looking forward to becoming 80 years old at the end of March, then heading to North Yorkshire, to complete the big challenge a couple of weeks later to really celebrate my birthday.”
We are so inspired by Maureen and wish her well with this unique way of turning 80! If you would like to support Maureen please visit her JustGiving page.
