Ready to Step Up
As 2022 begins, so do two new Stepping Up learning communities in Bridlington and Middlesbrough.
The two new groups will begin their Stepping Up journey’s in January and will look to grow in their faith, learn more about their communities and Step Up in mission.
When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realised that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and they took note that they had been with Jesus.
(Acts 4:13)
Ten people across the two groups will gather each week in term time with the Middlesbrough cohort hosted by Holy Trinity, North Ormesby and the Bridlington cohort gathering at Christ Church, Bridlington.
A number of those in both groups have recently been confirmed or attended an Alpha / Start course with Stepping Up seen as a natural progression for the next steps in their faith journey. Every person on Stepping Up, represents a parish and community, where people face many challenges and life can be tough.
The Stepping Up programme is a movement of courageous ordinary people. Already through those who have completed Stepping Up we are seeing mustard seeds of mission sprouting up across the Diocese and our prayer and hope for these two new cohorts is for the same.
